Jaakko has background in software business - building bridges between users, developers and other stakeholders in areas where people and information technology overlap. He has worked over 20 years in several industries and different roles ranging from a software engineer to a director. His latest position was SaaS team lead and product owner at Trimble Forestry. Jaakko was responsible for steering the development of a digital platform that was a paradigm shift in the forestry supply chain business in Finland.

This business career is now being complemented with a new point of view, as a Junior Researcher at LUT University, Department of Software engineering. A PhD thesis is in the making, in the area of digital platforms, their governance and evolution.
