Besides his training and coaching activities, Ovais is also a part of an active Scrum Team in Enbridge's Technology & Innovation Lab (T+IL). In his work with the Lab, Ovais leverages empiricism, continuous learning, experimentation and agile frameworks to help design and build advanced technology products that leverage big data, artificial intelligence and cloud computing to solve some of the energy industry's toughest challenges.
Outside of work, Ovais coaches and mentors College students, Business Analysts, Quality Assurance Analysts, Systems Analysts and Project Managers at Sheridan College on how they can leverage agile practices and processes. Deeply passionate about social causes such as poverty alleviation, literacy and gender empowerment, Ovais also volunteers his free time with local non-profit organizations to leverage agile analytics to unlock social innovation for societal impact.
