Torgeir Dingsøyr conducts research on process improvement and knowledge management in software companies as a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Informatics at NTNU. He has specifically focused on topics that can enhance the workday for employees in the IT industry, such as agile development methods, teamwork in software development, and coordination in large-scale development projects. He teaches new generations about digital product development through introductory courses in software engineering and also offers courses on process improvement at the master’s level. His publications cover the fields of software engineering, information systems, and project management. In 2020, he received SINTEF’s award for outstanding research along with Nils Brede Moe.
